Growing up, my family owned an employee time clock company with offices throughout the northeast. At the rise of the PC age, they were at the forefront in automating the industry and embracing the digital transition. Although I was more interested in the business side than the technology, I feel fortunate that the business centered on technology, or I may have ended up in a far less rewarding career.
As a teenager, I worked for the company during summers until I went to college to pursue an education in business. Upon completing my degree in management at Boston University, I returned to work at the family business and focused on marketing, sales, and service with an emphasis on team building. I continued to work there for eight years before transitioning to a multi-national, publicly-traded company called Kronos.
Kronos is world-renowned for customer service excellence, and innovation and is often cited on the ‘best places to work’ lists. I gained invaluable experience at Kronos that would one day help shape my own firm. I also had the opportunity to work with remarkable clients such as JetBlue, Estee Lauder, Scholastic, Unilever, Arrow Electronics, and New York State Courts. One of my most memorable highlights with Kronos was the morning I joined the CEO, CFO, and management team to open the NASDAQ market.
After four years with Kronos, my entrepreneurial passion for business management, coupled with a desire to make a larger impact on a smaller team, led me to join Mordy and Jon at KJ in 2004.
While improving businesses and cultivating high-performing teams was something I was always passionate about, I have developed an even greater love for what I do since joining KJ. This team is my own and we are an extension of our client’s teams; their successes are our shared success. I plan to continue growing our firm and those of our clients for many years to come.
Beyond the office walls, I love hanging out with my wife and kids, baking (and mostly eating) dark and crunchy cookies, skiing, and giving back to the community.
